
Antoine Berthoud

Antoine Berthoud obtained his attorney’s license in 1988 and established his own practice in 1990, concurrently serving as an assistant in tax law at the University of Geneva.
Initially, his practice encompassed various areas, including family law, contract law, and commercial law, but over time, he has focused exclusively on tax law, gaining extensive experience in this field.
Since 1996, Antoine Berthoud has been a member of the former Cantonal Commission of Appeal in Tax Matters of the Canton of Geneva, which he chaired from 2006 to 2008. In 2009, he was appointed deputy judge at the Administrative Court of First Instance (for tax matters), a position he still holds. Additionally, he chairs the Tax and Financial Commission of the Geneva Bar Association. He teaches in the LL.M. Tax program organized by the Faculty of Law at the University of Geneva and is one of the contributors to the Commentaire romand de la LIFD. He also regularly speaks at seminars and specialized training sessions.
